Daniel Ricciardo’s 2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie will be put up for auction next month during the Zoute Concours, hosted by Broad Arrow Auctions.

Ricciardo, who was announced as the new ambassador for Ford Racing this Friday (5), received the vehicle in 2023 while still part of the Red Bull Racing team.

The Valkyrie was designed by Adrian Newey and developed in a partnership between Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing. Although it is an impressive car, Ricciardo drove only 160 km before deciding to sell it.

Now, it will be available for purchase at the upcoming Zoute Concours auction, hosted by Broad Arrow Auctions in October. It is expected to fetch over 2 million pounds.

It’s important to note that Ricciardo’s chassis 089 is not just any Valkyrie. When he purchased it, the driver spent more than 150,000 pounds on factory options alone.

According to Top Gear, the car features “extensive customization by Aston Martin’s bespoke ‘Q’ division.” For example, the Dichroic Dawn paint alone cost an additional 30,000 pounds.

This color, also known as Badger Blue (in tribute to Ricciardo’s nickname, Honey Badger), can also be found in the performance wheel centers.

The exterior is adorned with various carbon fiber details, also optional choices selected by the driver. Inside, it is finished in black Alcantara with contrasting silver stitching, along with more exposed carbon fiber.

Mechanically, it boasts a 6.5-liter V12 engine with a KERS hybrid system developed by Cosworth, capable of producing 1,176 horsepower. It’s no wonder that the car caught the attention of F1 drivers.

“We’re thrilled to present an incredibly rare Aston Martin Valkyrie at our first Zoute Concours Auction,” said Joe Twyman, vice president of sales for Broad Arrow in the Europe, Middle East, and Asia (EMEA) region.

“The Valkyrie is the ultimate example of converting racing technology into a road car, and the fact that it was personally configured and owned by a Formula 1 driver, Daniel Ricciardo, makes it truly unique and highly desirable.”
